This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules for using Circuit API ("Service"). All users must comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
🚫 Zero Tolerance Offenses
The following will result in immediate and permanent account termination with no warning, and may be reported to law enforcement:
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexualizing minors
Content promoting, planning, or inciting terrorism or violent extremism
Content that directly threatens imminent physical harm to others
Distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery
1. Prohibited Content Categories
You may not use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate:
1.1 Illegal Activities
Content violating any applicable local, state, national, or international law
Instructions for manufacturing illegal weapons, explosives, or drugs
Content facilitating human trafficking, slavery, or forced labor
Content related to illegal gambling or unlicensed financial services
1.2 Harmful Content
Harassment, bullying, or targeted hate speech against individuals or groups
Content that incites violence or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
Stalking, doxxing, or unauthorized disclosure of personal information
Content encouraging self-harm or suicide
1.3 Fraud & Deception
Phishing, social engineering, or credential harvesting
Impersonation of individuals, organizations, or public officials
Investment scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent financial advice
Fake reviews, coordinated disinformation campaigns, or election interference
Academic fraud, including generating essays or assignments presented as original student work
1.4 Malicious Technical Use
Generating malware, ransomware, viruses, or exploit code
Content designed to bypass security systems or access controls
Automated attacks including credential stuffing, brute force, or DDoS coordination
1.5 Intellectual Property Violations
Generating content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or patents
Plagiarism presented as original work
Circumventing DRM or access controls on copyrighted content
1.6 Adult & Sexual Content
Sexually explicit content, pornography, or adult material
Content related to sexual services, escort services, or prostitution
Content for military targeting, weapons systems, or combat operations
Intelligence gathering, surveillance, or espionage activities
Content for any government mass surveillance programs
2. AI Output Labeling
2.1. When you publicly distribute AI-generated text, images, or other content produced through our Service, you must clearly and conspicuously label it as AI-generated content.
2.2. You may not present AI-generated content as human-authored, including but not limited to: using AI to generate content falsely attributed to a real person, or presenting AI-generated news articles, research papers, or official communications without disclosure.
2.3. This requirement does not apply to internal business use or situations where AI assistance is reasonably expected by the audience (e.g., code completion in an IDE).
3. User Responsibility
3.1. You are solely responsible for all Content you submit to and receive from the Service. We do not pre-screen, monitor, or control the Content processed through the Service.
3.2. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction and the jurisdiction of any end users of your application.
3.3. If you integrate the Service into your own application or product, you must implement your own content moderation and safety measures appropriate to your use case.
3.4. You must verify the accuracy of AI-generated outputs before relying on or distributing them, particularly in high-stakes domains such as legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical applications.
4. Security & Integrity
Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract model weights or parameters
Do not exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent quota mechanisms
Do not share, transfer, or resell your API Key to third parties
Urgent: Include "URGENT: AUP VIOLATION" in the subject line for time-sensitive reports involving safety or CSAM
We review all reports within 24 hours and take appropriate action. We may not be able to share details of enforcement actions with reporters due to privacy considerations.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP as new risks emerge or laws change. Material updates will be communicated via email or dashboard notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
